Galway football manager Kevin Walsh steps down

Galway have been on the watch for a new senior soccer manager following the resignation of Kevin Walsh on Tuesday.
He former Sligo boss accountable for the Tribesmen overseeing real progress. The Westerners consolidated that position, attained Division 1 status and picked up two Connacht titles.
They bridged a 17-year gap by attaining an All-Ireland and choosing up a championship win in Croke Park.
But they were not able to achieve the Super 8s this year after also a qualifier defeat to Mayo and a provincial closing loss to Roscommon.
There will be no lack of high-profile titles linked to the role, and the county is well positioned to compete in the top table in the coming years, with recent victory at club and provincial on a national stage.
