Kilkenny Camogie manager Ann Downey steps aside following loss to Galway

Kilkenny Camogie director Ann Downey has stepped in the aftermath of her successive All-Ireland final defeat.
The Cats were led by downey in 2016 to glory, however, was not able to replicate the trick.
The Noresiders fell to a six-point reduction in the hands of Galway in Croke Park on Sunday to Cork at 2018 and 2017.
She made the announcement at the dressing room following the defeat on the Tribeswomen.
„Ann Downey has made a decision to step down from her managerial job with all the Kilkenny senior camogie team,“ explained Kilkenny Camogie chairperson Sheila Norris in an announcement on Monday morning.
„Having done a yearlong stint from 2008-2009 and reaching the All Ireland in 2009, she took over the reins at 2016, bringing the group to maintain that his first All Ireland in twenty two years within her first year in charge. Three in a row National League Division 1 titles reaching the All-Ireland closing in every one of these years and indeed in 2019 as well as were procured in 2016, 2017 and 2018. We also won three Leinster names. She received manager of this year’s accolade .
„Kilkenny Camogie is extremely grateful to Ann for its time and dedication she’s contributed to Camogie within the last four decades. Her devotion to her game and to her county has been next to none and we wish her all the finest in her future endeavours.“
